1953 Gibson LG – 1959 Les Paul Standard 60th Anniversary – 1996 Gibson Chet Atkins SST
1953 Gibson LG
1953 Gibson LG – Straight out of a private collection in Nashville, this is one of the sweetest sounding Gibson LG’s I have ever played. In excellent original condition she is a joy to behold and a dream to play. Perfect action with lots of room left on the saddle. This old growth mahogany is stunning and has an articulate ‘warmth’ that is a dream to hear and play.
Crack free, no repairs with some incredible vintage mojo! Very light lacquer checking, wear and light pick marks set the stage like a favorite old tweed amp…just right! One or two small sections of lacquer wear on the lower side where you would rest the guitar on your knee…
1959 Les Paul Standard 60th Anniversary
1959 Les Paul Standard 60th Anniversary – Les Paul ’59 Standard, 60th Anniversary model! This is an exceptional series of Les Pauls to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the iconic 1959 Les Paul Burst. This stunning example comes complete with all the case candy, COA, badge and other goodies… this is a genuine 60th anniversary model. 8.5 lbs!
CustomBuckers and some superbly aged hardware and finish character make this a dream to behold. The color and flame on this beauty are about the best I have ever seen…
1996 Gibson Chet Atkins SST
1996 Gibson Chet Atkins SST – Radar Alert! Gibson Chet Atkins SST in gloss ebony… virtually UNPLAYED and in pristine condition. The SST is one of Dave Matthews’ favorite guitars and I fully concur! These are one of the finest sounding, feeling and playing guitars Chet Atkins and Gibson produced. They dial in from ultra clean acoustic to Les Paul growl with a bite.
This one is what Chet had in mind when he led the SST project through the decade or so of it’s conception. 1996 is truly one of the best years these were manufactured. This is one of the cleanest examples I have ever seen, and there’s been some great ones lately… this beats ’em all. Not easy to photograph a mirror finish, I did my best…
